Welcome Lunch – To officially welcome you to the orientation, we have organized a welcome lunch at the Syracuse Sheraton Hotel where you will be staying. At lunch, you will be assigned to sit with the members of your small-groups and your teaching mentor to get to know each other and ask questions while eating a typical American lunch.  This lunch consists of an assortment of sandwiches (including turkey, ham, and vegetable and roast beef), a variety of cold salads, and a hot vegetable soup.  We will also serve lemonade and iced tea, as well as an array of decadent desserts provided by the Syracuse Sheraton Hotel.

BBQ Dinner – As we visit a local farm, you will be able to enjoy a typical American BBQ (barbecue) dinner with pulled pork, grilled chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes (a specialty in central New York!), coleslaw and cornbread from a local favorite restaurant, Bull and Bear Roadhouse.
